When you have a good relationship with a customer, it’s perfectly reasonable to ask for referrals. “Do you know of anyone who can use our product?” is all it takes. When you get the names, you might want to ask, “Can I use your name when I call?” Often your customer will agree, but if she says no, you must respect her wishes.
